We had just sung our hearts out at the Frozen singalong and we had a couple of stops to make before leaving Hollywood Studios: the first was Disney Junior!
As we learned in the last chapter, Tanner is a big Disney Junior fan. So we knew this show would be a hit with him, even though we’d never seen it before!
What’s the password? Meeska, Mouska, Mickey Mouse!
We were right, Tanner loved the show! He sang and danced along with his favorite characters.
There was one more attraction our thrill-seeking nephew wanted to try. I’ll give you a hint: check out his hoodie.
Yes, this budding Jedi wanted to ride Star Tours for the first time! Auntie Missy didn’t ride this time because she went on the hunt for the Baymax cup for Tanner.
He loved it! And the ride has only served to make him more Star Wars obsessed than he already was!
We changed back at Boardwalk for dinner and made our way over to the Grand Floridian. We had a date with the Tremaines!
Tanner seemed ready to go at the start of dinner. Spoiler alert, it wouldn’t stay that way.
The characters were still elsewhere in the room, so we actually got to eat first! Everyone had a little bit of everything. Some of my personal favorites are the mac and cheese, carved ham and corn dog nuggets.
Cinderella arrived first and Tanner was really excited to show off his new Fred doll.
He and the princess wanted to see who could do the best monster face. It was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen.
Cindy, Tanner, Fred and Backpack the monkey took a group photo.
And you know I’ve never turned down a photo with a princess.
Lady Tremaine came by next, Tanner wasn’t quite sure what to make of her.
REALLY wasn’t sure what to make of her.
Lady Tremaine, on the other hand, was very pleased with my choice of bow that evening. We got along famously!
Tanner was fading fast, it had been a long couple of days.
Anastasia was very upset that I wore a bow that matched her mother’s dress and not her’s.
We made up long enough to take a fun photo. Make your best Anastasia face, ya’ll.
She was loud and Tanner was having none of it.
Drizella was next, she asked if Tanner had brought her Fred as a present.
“No, he’s mine,” he replied.
And, yes, there was bad news. Prince Charming was off saving the kingdom that night. So he wouldn’t be stopping by. Boooooooo! Maybe dessert would make us feel better.
Yep, that’ll do.
Keith got a birthday cupcake, too!
After dinner we took a spin on the monorail because, hello, Tanner loves all modes of transportation: Planes, trains, cars, monorails. He loves anything that moves.
We took a quick look around the GF Christmas decorations and gingerbread house before getting the car.
I also bought a few treats that we were way too full to eat that night.
Those sweets are where our night ended. It was a fun, if tiring, night for all. And, yes, Tanner was asleep before we got back to Boardwalk. But stay tuned because we have a day that includes our favorite thrill-seeker’s first ride on Test Track coming up next.
