Welcome back! We last left off splashing through puddles during a rainy day at Hollywood Studios. Sirvasha and Steve picked us up at Bay Lake Tower and we headed out to parts unknown (to us, anyway) — Fort Wilderness!
We parked and took the internal bus around the loop to Pioneer Hall.
We checked in (we were attending the late show that night)…
… and took our PhotoPass photo with our whole fabulous Hoop group!
They let us in just on time, we had a table on the right side of the stage.
Beer and sangria are both included in the meal price (wine also).
For those who have never been, Hoop De Doo Musical Revue is a musical theater show. There’s lots of singing, dancing and all-around fun. They break up the meal with musical numbers and really cheesy-funny skits.
The first course is the world’s most heavenly cornbread and a salad. Then comes the main course — barbecue ribs, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and baked beans (you can also get macaroni and cheese upon request).
Franklin asked for another beer, and our waitress brought him his own pitcher. He was one happy camper.
I know some of you have swung your napkins at Chef Mickey, but you have never really swung your napkin until you do it at Hoop.
It’s time to sing for your dessert, who’s ready for Straw-Berry-Short-Cake?
My favorite part of the show is the ballad of Davy Crockett.
For the last song, it was our turn to get in on the act. Washers for everyone!
We had the best time at the Hoop Dee Do! So much food, friends and laughter!
Though after (a few) pitchers of beer, we had no idea where we were on the internal bus loop, but that only made us all laugh harder.
And that laugh-filled bus ride is where we’ll end this time. But stay tuned, we have a big day of Magic Kingdom fun coming up next!Share this post:
